About me

My name is Gary Robb, and I've been married to Karen since 1990.

I've worked in the banking sector and in industry, Karen was a music teacher, but in 1994 we left our home church (Bo'ness) and began training as a Salvation Army Officers at William Booth College in London.

Our appointments have been geographically widespread across the UK from the West Midlands (Malvern) through the Irish Sea (Douglas, Isle of Man) to Northern Ireland (Ballymena), and from West Scotland (Bellshill) to the East Midlands (Leicester South) and Suffolk (currently at Stowmarket).

Whilst at Leicester I studied part-time for a BA (Hons) in Pastoral Care with Psychology, and graduated in October 2008. My dissertation was entitled "Burnt-out  or On-Fire? Are Salvation Army Officers emotionally exhausted or satisfied in ministry: A Pilot Study." (Other works form my fellow students are also available online.)

Karen completed a Diploma in Management Studies.

This website has been written to enable easy access for my colleagues, and others, to gain easy access to some useful ministry and personal resources.
